The alliance is also making efforts at crossing the Greater Accra and Ashanti regional borders to network with other women’s groups across the country.
FUNDRAISING
Strategy to raise funds has been designed to address the specific needs of the sector. These includes market deployment policy for clean cookstoves and Fuels by which government procures, agreed quantities of clean biomass Cookstoves for vulnerable households such as recipients of the LEAP grants. However, the government would procure cookstoves from members of GHACCO directly or through the Alliance. Moreover, focus has been placed on exploring external funding opportunities and also emphasize members’ commitment to the payment of their dues. Concrete steps that have been initiated comprise; The facilitation of the formation of a committee to implement GHACCO’s fundraising strategies.
