A project to promote clean cooking policy, planning and promotion at the district and national levels has been on-going for the past 3 years as part of a 5-year project to build the capacity of district assemblies to integrate clean cooking initiatives into its medium-term development plans.
The program is being piloted at the Ga West District Assembly, Ejisu Juaben Municipal Assembly and Sogakope Municipal Assembly
The program also involves engaging the Ministry of Planning and the National Development Planning commission to develop a national strategy in promoting clean cooking in Ghana.
